Navigate to Inventory Module
Go to Inventory menu and click on 'Inventory List' tab
Tips- Ensure you have inventory management permissions
- Select the correct branch if multiple branches exist

Click Add Item Button
Click the 'Add Item' button to open the item creation dialog
Tips- The button is located at the top right of the inventory list
- You can also use the search to check if item already exists

Fill Item Basic Information
Enter the basic details of the inventory item
What to enter

- Category helps in filtering and reporting
Watch out for- Item name should be unique within the same branch

Set Stock Levels
Configure initial quantity and minimum threshold
What to enter
Field Type Description Example Quantity* number Current stock quantity 50 Minimum Threshold* number Minimum stock level before alert triggers 10 Tips- Set threshold based on usage patterns
- System will alert when stock falls below threshold
Watch out for- Threshold should be realistic based on consumption rate

Save Inventory Item
Review all information and save the item
Tips- Double-check all fields before saving
- Item will be immediately available for issuance and purchase orders
Watch out for- Once saved, item cannot be deleted if it has transaction history
